...when shift from 1 to 2? Hello,, When I engage D or R on my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8, 4.7L or R am getting a kick sound, same as when I drive and shift from 1 to Gear number 2 am getting the same kick sound, I did a scanning Code and got, X431 DIAG REPORT SMARTBOX: 980246233600 DATE: 11/24/2009 3:03:18 PM --------------------------------------------- Total Codes: 01 CODE001: P0700 Transmission Control System (MIL Request) -------------------------------------------- Please help me what next after this?

Note: I send this car for a wash and the Guy wash the Engine,, after 2 Hours I started get this Transmission problem
 
It sound to me that one if the wire plugs came aloose from the transmission , cold even be a vaccum line that came off of your tranny. If this all happen after they cleaned the engine ,it's got to be something loose on the tranny.
 
crawl underneath and shack the transmission to see if it mocies it sounds like the lick is it twisting when the torque hits it when shifted in gear, push it up down and side to side and if u need more help u can email me. your mounting bolts could be loose
