I'm trying to help my mom download a zipped file from a website, but whenever she downloads it, instead of giving her a zip folder, it gives her a zip folder that is set to automatically open as a firefox document, so whenever she tries to open it it just tries to download the file again. How can we get windows to open it as a zip folder and not in firefox. Thanks for any help you give.
[EDIT] I was able to get the problem solved. If anyone wants to know how, keep reading. Keep in mind, this is for Windows Vista.

Right click on your file and select open with, then go to browse and get ready to follow this chain.

computer \C: \ Users \ [your username here] \ AppData \ Roaming \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Start Menu \ Programs \ Accessories

Then just select Windows Explorer and make sure to have the "use this for every file with this extension" box checked.

If you can't see the AppData folder it is because it is hidden. Just go to control panel, make it the classic view, open the folder options folder, go to the views tab and scroll down until you see an option dealing with hidden files and folders, just change the settings there.

Hope this helps anyone with the same problem.
