when i call someone on my cell phone the call goes through they can hear me but

i can hear them. help please? when i call someone my verizon cell phone acts as if i am on mute. i can hear them but they cant hear me. i can still send and receive messages so im in service. it just happened all of a sudden can someone tell me what to do?
