When Has Keynesian economics ever worked when the military was not involved?

To clarify when I say the military being involved I mean like in WWII when the federal money was being poured into military hardware thus stimulating and lifting the economy out of the depression. Or like the cold war. It just seems to me that when there is not a direct need for a massive amount of ______ for use by _______ Keynesian economics has always failed like it is now. If you don't know what Keynesian economics are then you probably shouldn't comment.
and Im not saying it sucks nor am I trying to push a point I just want to know of some examples :3
