...cup of tea/coffee? To expand on the above question, there are nine of us who live in shared accommodation, and every so often we go out together in our minibus for a day trip. However, there are arguments about whether or not we should stop at the services for a cup of tea or coffee, when the travelling time is two hours or more.

It is always the driver's decision, even if the majority want to stop for a tea/coffee break, and as a result of this, about nine times out of ten we do not stop for tea or coffee. The argument of the driver is that if say it takes three hours to get to our destination, and we stop for a drink, that a three-hour journey becomes a three-and-a-half hour journey, and the result of this is that we will end up spending less time at our destination.

What are your views on this? Do you usually stop for a tea/coffee break during a long car journey, or not?
P.S. If someone does need the toilet, then we will stop at the services, which happens about 50% of the time. However, we will then get straight back in the minibus afterwards, because the driver says that we do not have time to have a coffee.
P.P.S. Also the driver won't let us eat or drink in the minibus, for fear that we will make a mess in the vehicle (e.g. spill our drinks or get breadcrumbs everywhere).
