I haven't started using Retin-a yet but I heard it makes your face red. When does the redness subside? I know every skin type is different but will it be red the entire time I use it? or will that side effect go away after a few weeks?

It usualy only lasts the first couple of weeks.

Using a very mild clenser (such as Cetaphil) and a mild, colour and fragrence free moisturiser, can both help.

Depending on your skin, it may be red every time you use it, even after first couple of weeks. You can try using it less frequently, or use a bland moisturizer to buffer it, or rinse it off after leaving it on the skin for only a short time.
