I just started today my 3rd month of Spiro. My face isnt horrible at all...I just get little whiteheaRAB that are annoying! But i was just wondering for those of you who have been on Spiro for a while...when did you notice that you totally stopped getting pimples? Im taking 100 mg and like I said I just started my third month today. And if you are clear?? Does that mean you dont get little whiteheaRAB or anything?? Because thats my problem! Thanks
Where are the whiteheaRAB located? Would you say that your acne is hormonal? My endocrinologist told me that it can take 3-6 months to work, but I'm sure it's different for everyone.
I mean the whiteheaRAB are anywhere...sometiems a couple on my forehead...or my chin...or write above my lips...im pretty for sure its horomones because..some days its ok...and some is worse than others... but ive tried every cleaning system on this earth..and also antibiotics... so it takes a full 3 months? Did you just stop getting pimples all at once?
I'm guessing it's different for everyone, but my endo said expect it to take 3-6 months to really notice a big difference. I've been on Spiro since Nov. 21, and 200 mg since Dec. 12. I have noticed an improvement, but I'm still not 100% clear. I think a lot of people experience a decrease in oil right away, but the clear skin can take a lot longer. Sorry I haven't posted for a while, got really busy with school. So I am still taking spiro (200 mgs/day), I am going on 3.5 months. I have definetly improved since the last time I posted. I was really getting down in the dumps, even thinking of going on accutane...but I didn't. It was weird, I was sick for a week and didn't wear any makeup (stayed home in bed), the week after I was sick my skin cleared up miraculosly...what a difference a week made! Well that lasted for another week, and now I am breaking out again, but certainly not as much as last month. It could be from the makeup, or it could be that I am starting my period next week...not sure. Overall, I think the spiro has started doing it's job. I really hope I don't jinx myself by saying that. We'll see how it goes.

Hey yea I'm still here. I just want you all to know that today is my 7th month. I currently have my period and I only had to pimples at the beginning of it and they are going away very well and fast. I was thinking about posting a success post be/c of how well i am doing. I am very pleased. My acne scars marks are also fading very much. I just can't believe how well my face is doing. Hang in there guys!!
