When do you started testing for HPT and got a positive pregnancy test?

I still have a week before my period DUE.....and i don`t want to be wasting money in HPT, because everytime i have A box here..i test haha!!! so Please...when did you all start testing??

I have a 32 period, so it supoust to come on May 10th, WHEN is the best time to start testing???
