When discussing Islamic terrorism, why do so many apologists talk about the

Crusades, the Inquisition, etc...? The fact that Christians committed evil deeds in the name of their religion is immaterial. You'll note the key word is "committed". Past tense. They're not doing so today and haven't for centuries.

Moslem terrorists are killing in the name of Islam daily TODAY. Events of centuries and millenia ago have no bearing on the situation on the ground in AD 2011.

Western kids and Moslem kids both learn about the Crusades in school. The difference is that ours study them in World History, whereas theirs apparently learn about them in Current Events.
last: Nobody is forgetting the past. Show me a 500 year old Moslem and I'll buy him a beer.
donovan: Yes, apologist...or believer in moral equivalence if you like that term better, There are no Christians flying planes into buildings. There are no Jews lopping the heads off of "infidels". There are no Hindus stoning rape victims as "adulterers". There are no Buddhists rioting and burning down embassies over cartoons of the Buddha.
eve: I never claimed they were all terrorists. Why do people like you steadfastly refuse to acknowledge a problem even exists, though?
mr danger: Hitler was in the process of setting up an Aryan state religion based on Teutonic mythology. Further, the Holocaust was not instituted in the name of his supposed Christianity.
fist: While I'm CERTAINLY not defending pederast priests, the fact remains they killed no one. The situation in the Balkans was nationalistic, not religious. The fact that Moslems equate the US and the West with "Christendom" proves my point that they are living a few centuries in the past. Why do children such as yourself refuse to ackowledge that a problem exists?
eve: That is the second time that you have made the same unfounded accusation. Please show me where I have claimed ALL Moslems are terrorists. I have not. I HAVE stated (correctly) that they have a greater tendency than members of any other religion to resort to terrorism. Will you at least agree with that?
