Right now i am 13 years off age...and i am a newb of TKD...but not martial arts...at the age of 5 was the beginning of my martial arts journey. i started by taking local Karate and has only excelled to the Yellow belt...i would of continued but i had a disease that disabled me from participating in the activity ..at the age of 7 i rejoined and i never got an advancement from my yellow belt...from that point i was on and off...... in karate...and in the end taking a a 6 year vacation from martial arts until i was reinstated in the fall of 2010...starting my new and improved martial art TKD...it is a very complex sport/style of fighting and i plan to stay and study it as long as i could. a lot of people don't like it because of their lack of flexibility i think it is a nice sport...and very easy to learn once you get the hang of things..currently I'm a white belt (due to my absence of the last belt testing) and my masters says i am one of the best white belts they've had in years..my strengths are Sparring..and Basic Kicking, So far i got no trophies due to my participation absence in the last tournament. im currently training for an upcoming tournament this April.
So that is my Martial Arts Journey so far.
My question for you is...
When and how did your martial arts journey begin?
i would love to read and comment on all of your stories!
