When did you stop putting your child in the swing? When they started sitting up?

I had two kids that loved the swing. It was a travel swing so low to the ground. They used it until age 3. Starting at 12 months or so they would need help getting in and we didn't strap them anymore. Best 42 dollars ever spent, lasted 2 kids from birth till age 3 on a daily basis, just sold it for 15 dollars in July.

More like when he didn't fit into anymore. My son (who is 7 months) has a FP Papasan but he does not fit in there whatsoever. (Stopped using it at 6 months) Not to mention he was trying to twist his body out of the seat and use his feet to push open the playbar. My daughter stopped using her swing when she was about 8 months and that was due to her size as well.

We have an open-style Graco, that we've used with all 4 of our kids (started using it 11 and a half years ago!), and out 2-year-old can still use it... Her legs are a bit long, but she can hold them in such a way that it's not a big deal... And, of course, our 10-month-old uses it. It's great, and it's served us well!
