I'd like to finally address my life-long anxiety issues, but as a worrier is wont to do I am concerned that a doctor's diagnosis of anxiety, GAD, or the like will be "coded" as a mental illness into that great medical database in the sky. Once on an individual's medical record, it would seem to me that he/she could see some negative repercussions...such as increased insurance rates, difficulty in changing jobs, less-positive credit scores, bad background checks, etc. This is the main reason I've put off getting this anxiety attended to. Any answers?

Mecical recorRAB are confidentail, how would an employer know what is in a folder in your doctors office?

About the only way an outsder can get a look at them is a court order
