I got my tonsils out on the 23rd (Merry Christmas to me, lol), but I don't know when I should take myself off of vocal rest. I know I probably *can* speak softly, but I also know that talking strains the throat, and less strain on the throat means it'll have an easier time healing. If it means anything, I am a classically trained singer, and I was told that I was absolutely not allowed to sing for at least three weeks. This tells me that there's only so much that my throat can handle right now.
How do I know when my throat is ready to handle speaking?
