when buying a FORD vehicle what is cheaper, ford financing or first time buyer and

whats the difference? my friend is trying to buy a ford truck he first was going with the ford financing plan but hitting a credit problem he cant get his truck through that plan and might have to go for the first time buyer plan. will the first time buyer plan cost him more??? and what is the difference between the 2 plans???
