when a guy talks about you to his friends what does that mean?

i met this guy about a week ago. the first thing that came to my mind was that he was really hot. hahaha
so today, this girl im kind of friends with told me "oh you knw this kid.. yeah he was talking to me the other day, and told me that he finds you very cute"
does him talkking to other people about me mean something?
Also, he keeps on hugging me each time he sees me in the hallway..
