I don't see why not. a relationship isn't all about sex. if she's not ready, he should respect that and not go past her limits, and he will do that if he truly loves her and cares about her.
i think that the guy should probably try to keep things cool and not doing anything out of his capabilities. don't make your self look stupid by trying to do someone who is really experienced and knows what they are doing.
