Wheel Stands

Get the Pit Bull rear stand to get the ass-end off the ground and use a nice plush carpet remnant with a good high density carpet pad under the front tire. The Pit Bull front stand is spendy $284 and you may not need it. Alternatively, if all you're trying to do is avoid flat spots, the carpet remnant approach will work on it's own for the periods of time you described.

Actually, the front stand for the 848s are not that expensive. You can buy the new style front stand for much less and get the appropriate pin to insert the stand into the bottom of the triple tree. If I recall correctly it's pin #2. I have the new style front stand which I use on both my 848 and my ZX-10R. I don't remember exactly how much I spent on the front stand but I know it was under $200 shipped.
