Wheel noise/vibration - 2000 Dodge Ram 1500?

I have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with occasional noise/vibration in the left-front corner. The pitch changes with wheel speed. It seems to be worse when cold. The noise does not appear to be affected by turning or braking. No grinding or scraping. The vehicle made this noise before and after having a 4-wheel alignment. The mechanics did not mention any potential problems. What do you think it could be?
 
can you be more specific on the noise? is it a grinding? I would suggest getting the wheel bearing looked at
