What's your position on the Political Compass?

I would suggest that you vote Muddled Middle, as both your rankings are between -3 and 3. But it appears that you already voted, oh well.

Left/Right 1.75
Libertarian/Authoritarian -3.85

I always end up there, all by myself, no famous people to hang out with.

I guess I must be confused.

Bottom left, or Liberal libertarian.

Economic Left/Right: -5.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.28

I've taken this test several time over the last two years, and I've stayed on the left the whole time, but it has swung between libertarian and authoritarian somewhat.

Last time I took this: 10-11-2004, 07:18 PM Eastern Standard Time

I got:
Economic Left/Right: -2.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.10

I'm getting further towarRAB the middle economically and more libertarian.

My stats: Economic Left/Right: -4.63 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.54. They tend to gravitate around these figures when I take this test... I conciously used only one or two strong statements this time to see in what way the score would change. My economic score is very close to the one i usually get allthough my social score is significantly less libertarian. I guess I have "stronger" oppinions about the social issues, whereas my view on econmics is more "stable"...

Oh and last time I took it I scored : Economic Left/Right: -4.88 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.03

Seeing as the money is presumably going to help people (like I'd expect it was helping him for the earlier part of his life;)), I guess he doesn't mind hugely. Also, if he's just got a job, the income tax he pays is unlikely to be that high at the moment.

I'm all in favor of helping the less fortunate. But the government is a damn poor, inefficient provider of charity, at least in the US. Only $0.22 of every dollar actually makes it to the recipient; the rest goes to governmental administrative costs. What a racket. :xcensored
