I have a female friend who I have liked for a long time (I'm a guy, and we're both 24 years odl), but I never asked her out because she has had a boyfriend for the past 12 months.
Over the weekend, I found out through facebook that this girl broke up with her boyfriend. They both had their profile pictures changed, and both set their "Relationship Status" to 'Single.' But keep in mind that this girl doesn't know that I know she broke up with her boyfriend over the weekend.
When I saw this on facebook this morning , I figured this would finally be my chance to ask her out once she is emotionally healed in a couple of months.
I hung out with this girl at the mall today and she didn't mention anything about the breakup. I asked her how her boyfriend was doing, and she told me that he was doing fine. I then found out that she still is living with him despite the breakupo over the weekend. She also said "I just got off the phone with James and he wants me to pickup a Cinnebon for him before we leave."
I'm confused. I found out over facebook that she broke up with her boyfriend over the weekend but it didn't seem like it when I saw her in person based on what she said.
