What's Wrong??

I'm not sure where to post this because there are so many things wrong...so I hope this is a good spot~!! I would post these things in their separate forums, but I don't know if they are related or separate from each other...

I've been having some weird health issues lately and I'm quite worried. This post is quite long...so bear with me!

First off, I've been acquiring a lot of new allergies lately and it's really starting to effect every day life. I have been allergic to Nickle for a few years now, but just in this past year I have become allergic to...peaches, oranges, pineapple, deodorant, Vitamin C (pill form), cantaloupe, soap, watermelon, ect.

Second, I have been breaking out very badly on my inner thighs. I'm not sure if it has something to do with one of my allergies or something different. It started about a month ago on my right inner thigh. It was small at first and I wasn't very worried. But it quickly spread to my other leg and now is almost to the point were you can see it if I'm wearing shorts. It's red patches and itches a lot.

Third, I have been having some TERRIBLE mood swings!!! I have always been a very pleasant person. I never used to get angry or raise my voice, but lately it seems like I can't contain it. I always seem to be annoyed at something and I get angry at the smallest things. I have struggled with mild depression in the past but it seems to be getting worse. My boyfriend is getting very tired of my mood swings, as am I.

Fourth, and this is what worries me the most...my period has been acting very funny this month. It's always been fairly irregular but this month has been ridiculous. It was like pre-period for a few days, then it went away completely. I thought that was weird but wasn't worried at all. My boyfriend and I were intimate that day then the next morning it started again. It was dark and I was only spotting for like a week. It went away again, and I was worried about a possible pregnancy (although we always use a condom or he pulls out.) I decided I would go buy a test but then it came back again and I didn't. It was lighter in color then but only lasted two days. It's gotten dark again, and I am still only spotting.

Fifth, for the past two months I have started running about 4 times a week with my boyfriend and trying to eat healthier but I haven't lost any weight. It actually seems like I might have put on a couple of pounds. It's very discouraging for me because I have never exercised much in my life and I've started doing this for my boyfriend because he says I am overweight (which I am, although not by that much.)

Sixth, my boyfriend of two years and I just started being intimate a few months ago. He is my first partner, although I am not his. It hurts every time we are intimate. It's almost unbearable sometimes. He is a very sexual guy and so I would really like the pain to go away. I have never been much interested in the idea of sex and have always been afraid of it. I was raped when I was younger and I didn't know if that would have anything to do with the pain?

Seventh, I've noticed that my stool has been bloody several times in the past month and when I wipe there is blood on it...?

Umm...I think I mentioned everything...sorry it's so long! I am just trying to figure out what could be wrong with me!!??? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Just for background information...I am 21, my boyfriend is 25. I have never had any serious health issues other than the occasional cold/flu/allergy.

Thanks~!!

You need to see a doctor. You have too many issues to try fixing them all with message board help.

The failure to lose weight, period irregularity, mood swings, and maybe the allergies could be explained by hypothyroidism. You'll need blood tests for that - TSH, free T4, free T3, and thyroid antibodies. The other symptoms are unlikely to be related to this.

Blood in the stool can be caused by many things. At your age, it's not likely to be really serious. If you tend to be constipated (which is also a sign of hypothyroidism), straining at the stool will cause hemorrhoids or small tears in the anus which can bleed a little.

Get checked by a doctor for your peace of mind. It's not good to wonder and worry during what should be your best time of life.

Gummibear: Yes, get to a doctor and also have yourself checked for diabetes and have your Vit B12 levels checked. Low B12 can mimick depression. Have your estrogen levels checked if your doctor will do it for you. Too much estrogen can mess up your cycles and also cause increased allergies. You might benefit from a BCP. For the constipation, add some magnesium supplements to your diet.

You're too young to be having all these problems. Good luck.

Thank you for the replies. I will try and see a doctor although we are very very tight on money so I'm not sure what to do.

It's funny that you should mention hypothyroidism. I'm not totally sure what that's all about, but I recall that when I was very young and I went to see the eye doctor for the first time he said there was something weird with my eyes that might cause a thyroid problem later on?

Also...this may sound really dumb but where do I go to see a doctor? Do I have to go to a hospital or what? I've never had health insurance and I haven't seen a doctor in probably thirteen or fourteen years and that was when I was living in a small town with only one place to go for everything!
