What's wrong with my Jeep?

Hey guys,

I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee that I purchased in 2005. It has been very reliable (other than having to change the neutral safety switch last year). Lately it has started making a high pitched sound. Everyone says it's a timing chain. Other Jeep users on Yahoo! have said that the chains never need to be replaced. If that is the case, then what do you do when the chain makes so much noise. Yeah I know I sound like a moron. No need stating that in your responses.

Sounds like the chains have interwined with the engine lining which is causing pink fluid to leak onto the chains making all that noise, please get it repaired right away.
