this week i noticed something weird while driving. when stopped the jeep would have trouble moving, especially when going up a hill. i was stopped at sign on a hill, and trying to turn, and the jeep had no pickup. i had to push the pedal all the way down to get it to get over the hill. this also happened on flat ground where it had no acceleration.
afterwards i noticed the screen by the speedometer that has all the letters for park reverse neutral and drive. there was a box around the first 4. P R N & D all had the green box around it, signaling that it had all those selected or something. i poped it into neutral and back into drive and it was fixed. the box was around D only, and the pickup was fine. but it has done this a couple times now, my dad had it happen to him too.
any ideas roughly what it could be? transmission problem or a problem with the computer? the check engine light did come on afterwards yesterday also. just want some heads up before i try to goto jeep. its a pretty new car, maybe a 2007. any help would be nice.
