Whats wrong with my Honda CB750?

I bought the bike about two months ago and for some reason it's just now starting to act up. It has 24k miles and it is making a very loud rumbling noise and has lost almost all its torque. It does NOT stay on when riding any more.

I took off the air box and put on smaller filters on each carb entrance. Possible mistake? Im going to take video and see if i can post it. Its really scaring me and its my only ride.

sounds like you either put on K & N or UNI filters, they really should not effect it like that. Does it stall when riding or when stopped? If just at idle you can try adjusting the fuel mix on each carb: turn in until lightly seated and then back out about 1 and a half to 2 turns. You could slightly tweak the idle speed as well. The loud rumbling noise sounds like maybe you blew a baffle out of the exhaust? I had one shoot out and bury itself into the radiator of a police car once! No baffle would definately make it loud and lose bottom end torque by the way.

Perfect! Your 'only ride' and you mess with it without knowing what you're doing.

Pull a couple of spark plugs and describe what they look like.
Brown, black, white, oily, sooty ........?
Check your crankcase oil level while you're there anyways.
