What's wrong with my fish?

We have a 272lt fish tank, with freshwater tropical fish in it. For nearly 8 weeks one by one our fish are dying. Their colour fades slightly and they get very thin in the belly area! We are feeding them enough and the water is clean and PH is fine. Temp is good and tank is clean and well air rated. Also we have treated the tank with melafix incase it was something like that! Anyone have any ideas?

catx has probably the best answer. it does sound like an internal parasite. These things happen. But get the water checked, the nitrates and such. Those really play an important part in the keeping of fish.

it could be the light fish are sensitive to light or not having light if you shut off the lights in the room then turn them on when ever you go in there or w/e if you change it from light to dark more then a few times a day this can mess with them

What are ammonia, nitrite and nitrate readings? Those three are more important parameters than pH.

It could well be an outbreak of internal parasites here - that will often cause a "wasting" symptom as you are describing. If you can get hold of medicated fish food designed for internal parasites - that's the best way to treat it. Or there are liquid internal parasite medication - or wormer designed for Discus may also help. I doubt melafix will do anything for these fish.
