In the past few weeks I have lost 4 fancy tail guppies and a plecostama. I just lost one of my guppies and the plecostama last night. The only fish that has survived this whole ordeal is a black molly that Ive had a while... All of the other fish were fairly new, and as soon as one set of guppies died we got another set to see if it was just the fish... but they died too.
We checked the water for ammonia and it was a little high so we put ammonia clear and also stuff to take care of the nitrate, PH, and alkaline. We put some drops in it to clear it up too, but it's cloudy and not clear like it was a few days ago.
We think that the water is too warm... we have a thermometer that is like a sticker that sticks to the outside of the tank and it's really hard to read. So what's the best thing to do in my situation?? I don't want any more fish to die!
Please Help me! 10 points to the most helpful! Thanks in advance!
I have an under gravel filter and a regular one... We took out the heater because it was getting too warm, and today it's at 82. I condition the water every time I put new in there... Should I do weekly partial water changes??
It's a 14 gallon tank.
