What's wrong with my Cell Phone: NV 2?

It's verizon and on the front screen there's two black things that look like leaves with a bunch of little dots that are many different colors and there both on there like eyes like where they're placed. But most of the leave shaped thing is black with the colorful dots in it. The buttons still work like if I dial a number on it it will work but the screen doesn't change it's still the same leave looking things but if I open my phone the call is going on. SOMEONE HELP
