I have a 1999 Ford Explorer. About a month ago I started noticing that my car is making "clicking" noises. I was told to check my oil and ended up getting an oil change. I started it back up and it continues to make the same noise. Sometimes it is louder than other times. It is so loud that I can hear it over my music and while talking to someone in the car. Just today I was stopped at a light and my car started to shake and then just dies. I noticed the check engine and battery light came on. I tried to start it back up, and it started. The drive home seemed normal. Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks.
