I have a 2001 Toyota Avalon. This morning (in 10 degree weather), my car would not start or even turn-over. I hooked it up to my jumper-box and it started immediately.
From there I had about an hour commute and everything seemed fine.
This evening when I got out of work, I again found that my car would not start. Again, I jumped it and it started right away. However, this time I noticed that after the car started, my dash and headlights were faintly flickering.
I was able to drive like that for about 20 minutes and then all of my lights and electrical systems went out.
Any suggestions as to what is causing this? I'm guessing that the alternator is a possibility. Could it also be as simple as a loose battery connection?
