I have a ford focus 2000 and two days ago I was on my way home and I noticed my car wasn't changing gears smoothly, I had to really rev it up to get it to even go 30 mph. and when I got home I noticed my braking power wasn't that effective. I shut my car off and then later went to turn it on and it started but the RPM's slowly went really low, so I tried to rev the gas and I hardly had any power. The RPMS went to low and the car died. I tried to start it again and it wouldn't turn over, it sounded like it might start, but then wouldn't. I checked the transmission fluid and it was pretty low so I added new but the car still does the same thing. Hardly starts, dies and then wont start for hours. Please help.! i am totally broke and hope I can fix this myself if possible.
Whats wrong with my Car?? Transmission?
