Whats wrong, my ford focus is stuck in gear with a floppy gearstick, no selction can be

It will move forward but I cannot take it out of gear even with the clutch down.

It will move forward but I cannot take it out of gear even with the clutch down. As the gear stick is all floppy and has little or no resistance
