Something I noticed about the Batman series is that pretty much every hero and villain is introduced in their own episode. It usually gives us the character as a normal person and then explains why they're a costumed criminal or monster of some sort. But, the first episode we see Robin or Harley Quinn, there's no introduction, no explanation, it just plops the character in like they've been there since the beginning. Is there a reason the writers did this, or were they just being lazy?
