SEXIST one?!? God, people! They're just CHARACTERS, for cryin' out loud!
Apparently, they're making a fuzz about how Tarzan says "Me Tarzan, you Jane."
They say, when "translated" into plain English, it sounds more like, "I'm the boss, YOU'RE my LITTLE WOMAN."

Oh Gd, I know - absolutely everything seems to turn into an excuse to bitch about how men are nasty and women are stupid etc! When I think of Tarzan and Jane I think of the Disney movie!

making a fuzz? lol :)

Big, strong, jungle man with a golden bronzed tan and a yummy body clad in a loin cloth, swinging through the trees, pounding on his sexy chest, picking up a woman with just one hand while mastering his vine to vine transportation...
Now does Tarzan actually speak...other than "me Tarzan, you Jane" ?
See cause I need an intellectual man... oh what the hell...we could speak the universal language...til I grow tired of him.

Oh I'm sorry...what was your question?

Never heard that complaint. Why worry about it? It's a story/comic strip/movie that reflects a whole bunch of steretypes of its time.

Yeah, but popular characters reinforce certain... *sigh* You know what, just forget it.

Anyway, everyone knows that the Tarzan stories are predominantly racist in nature, not sexist.

Tarzan lives in a jungle, presumably in Africa. It is expected that people understand that, where Tarzan lives, there is a male-dominant attitude. Tarzan doesn't live in a politically correct suburb of Boston.
