Mann didn't do "bad science" he INTENTIONALLY MISLED the world by creating a phony hockey stick graph! That is NOT an "oops".
 
there will always be some unscrupulous researchers. that doesn't detract from the honorable scientists who still concur with the initial premise.
for example: there were a number of researchers who wanted us to go to war in iraq and lied to investigators and decision makers, saying saddam had roving chemical weapons factories. this was a lie of course, but that doesn't mean that saddam wasn't dangerous.
