That said, I'm not sure diet is going to cut it for a teenager. Not that you shouldn't do it. I'm sure it will help and it's always good to eat right. Our bodies were never meant to eat the amounts of sugar and simple carbs in the modern western diet.
However, according to many people here (in above mentioned past discussions) who've done far more research than I, teenagers have hormones out of whack and are in a state of insulin resistance for a reason to do with the stage of growth you are in.
So what I think would help most is to take DHT blocking supplements like Saw Palmetto, Zinc, Nettle Leaf, green tea, etc. These prevent DHT from being taken in by the receptors in your follicles that stimulate oil production. A while back a woman posted that Nettle Leaf capsules cured her teen son in just a few weeks. And another recent post about green tea doing the same. I had good results with Saw Palmetto and Zinc. Even some carb-blocking type diet pills. There's also been people citing results with vitamin B5 and vitamin A, but in massive doses and I don't know exactly how those work. Search for posts on those topics and by Nettleworks for the nettle discussion and Sweetjade1 for all kinRAB of diet and hormone information.
The main purpose of the diets is to cut back on sugar/simple carbs that stimulate hormone production. Although not everything in these diets is about hormones. There's also inflammatory fooRAB to avoid, for example.
