Whats this bug in my garden?

It looks like a small bee, with a black and orange body. But its strangely pointed at one end, and when I looked closely I noticed this was its head. It had a large sort of Butterfly tongue (Yet straight) at one end which is around the same size as its body. Its got see-through wings like a bee and also Buzzes, but in a different manner. Can anyone help me with this freaky thing? :P Thanks
 
I am wondering if this is not the Narcissus Bulb Fly. It's young grub feeds on daffodils and other blooming bulbs. It could also be some sort of moth, but would need a picture to make a positive ID.
