What's the worst remake?

Or the 1982 version of Cat People, not a patch on the creepy 1942 version directed on a shoestring budget by Jacques Tourneur.

Yes, If you hadn't seen the original it was quite good, but that is only because the original is quite good... It was a totally pointless and therefore terrible remake.

Godzilla 98!

Everyone in my school went to watch it! And so did i. The movie seems great when you are a kid (11 years old), but once you grow up a little or watch it a year later! It just seems like a poor mans Jurassic Park:rolleyes:

It was mainly a terrible remake due to the fact they used color!!

This was ONE movie where b&w is essential! I am glad I saw the original first.
There are other reasons (that I won't go into) why this sucked too!

It still would have been pointless though!

Any of the movies listed so far would be near the top of my list.

I agree with the first one most though. The Haunting remake was absolutely terrible.

*the vanishing* has got to be up there.

what was it that made the original so shockingly memorable? the ending.

what bit shall we change completely?
the ending.

gobsmackingly clueless morons.

His Girl Friday, originally starring Cary Grant, was remade with Burt ReynolRAB and was absolutely dreadful. It was more like a spoof than a remake.

Does Speed 2 count ? Not a remake as such but theres a stark similarity between old and new

Not that Ive seen Blair Witch but the reports of the sequel were not good

Highlander 2 (3...4...) and the series and I suppose cartoon of the series
