so, lets say global warming reaches its peak, exactly what awful things can we expect to happen. please give me detailed facts or links to where i can get more info. how hot, will the world be, the flooding etc. i need to know how bad it will get. thanks

The worst case scenario is that there is a run away greenhouse and temperatures rise hundreds of degrees. This has happened on Venus. But this is not going to happen.

However, according to the IPCC, billions of people will be affected.[1][2] Key findings of the IPCC report include:

* 75-250 million people across Africa could face water shortages by 2020;

* Crop yields could increase by 20% in East and Southeast Asia, but decrease by up to 30% in Central and South Asia;

*Agriculture fed by rainfall could drop by 50% in some African countries by 2020;

*20-30% of all plant and animal species at increased risk of extinction if temperatures rise between 1.5-2.5C;

*Glaciers and snow cover expected to decline, reducing water availability in countries supplied by melt water.

You will be dead be for you see the worst. Your face melts off then it starts to get really bad

There are many possible scenarios that may result from global warming. The most worrying and probable are:

1. The sea level will rise and low lying land will be flooded forever. This could be vaste areas of land right across the world.

2. There would be increasing amounts of natural disasters such as flooding and landslides. Mountain ice caps will melt and this melting snow will flood populated areas down stream that don't have the knowledge, time or resources to protect themselves against such disasters. This is already evident

3. Desert areas will expand North and South of the Equator across the world. Lack of water and irrigation infrastructure will mean vaste areas of land will be difficult if not impossible to farm. This will put greater pressure on countries in Temperate regions to produce food for the rest of the world.
