I mean, seriously, the most a spirit can do is scare the crap out of you and/or posses you, but that's temporary, and yes, I get possession is an incredibly unpleasant, but that's nothing a good exorcism can't fix. So, I ask you: why do you think people are (including myself) scared of beings that have no way to physically hurt them?
