My 15 month old daughter, in order for her to fall asleep she has to be playing with my hair. When I tell her to stop or move away she cries. She has been doing this for awhile and it drives me crazy because she pulls really hard and my hair falls off. What can I do to get rid of this habbit?

My 9 mo. old jibber jabbers when he's falling asleep at night and then he'll start to giggle at himself! It's so crazy and cute! It's like he just told himself a funny joke! But then like a minute after he does that he's out like a light!

I know when my babies are getting really sleepy because DD will pull and tug on her ear and my DS will thrash his head from side to side.

You could try putting your hair in a ponytail or wear a hat with your hair tucked in. Also maybe a doll with hair (suitable to her age of course) might help. i am guessing it is just a comfort thing for her and you may be able to find a substitute.

i used to have to rub my daughters nose lol i dont know why, then she had a phase to rub her head, now she just goes to sleep im sure it will pass, try and give her something comforting to sleep with=)

My daughter is two and she does that. Yet she takes it a step further and she flosses with it. Now that is weird and gross! I don't know who to stop it. And believe me I have tried (time-outs, everything) So good luck to you and I hope your daughter stops soon.

My son likes to still be held... or at least laying right next to be, cuddled up. He also has to have his blanket (its the one they wrapped him up in from the hospital... he he that's right i took it home lol) anyways he has to be holding that, and laying snuggled up next to me... its funny cause he starts to talk/coo when he's right about to fall asleep
