Whats the name of this awesome movie?

it takes place in a hotel like, there is this family living across the hall from a russian-ish guy. the family is killed except for this little young girl that was at the store. after she is taken in by the russian guy and the guy teaches her how to shoot a gun. in the ending the swat team and police try killing them and so she escapes by shootiny a hole in thw wall and the guy is shot alot. survuves until i think hes shot again in the back or somthing
