What's the mileage to get a transmission flush on a pontiac g6?

Just wondering what the mileage is when you're supposed to get a transmission flush on a Pontiac g6? And has anyone had this done? I've read a few things stating it's not really neccessary to get this done, just to change the fluid itself?
