What's the longest it can take for a pregnancy test to finally show positive?

I had a chemical pregnancy last month and my Dr. said just consider that my normal AF. I ovulated around May 28th and now at 18 Days past ovulation I am still getting negative HPT's and AF still hasn't shown up (4 days late). I haven't really had any pg symptoms besides really sore breasts and a weird discharge. Help!!! Could I be pregnant again?
*no pregnancy symptoms the first time...I wasn't that far along at all.
