whats the law? i have a car sun strip or top tint strip on the top of the wind screen?

i have a top tint or sun visor strip on my car on the top of the wind screen is about six inches from the top of the screen, you can see threw it and its only there to protect my eyes from the sun when driving. will it pass an mot?
