i no road bikes are for pavement only and usually have skinnier tires and are good for going long distances, and pedal pretty easy. i tried out some cruiser bikes at the store though and they seem to have the same feel to them as road bikes they seem to pedal like a road bike, i was wondering if they are pretty much just like a road bike but a different makeup. im curious because i own only a mountain bike and i want a new bike for college thats good for distances. and i really like how cruisers look and feel. but im afraid i'll buy it and it sucks on pavement.
