I have (I think lol now I gotta re read my mri) spondylolsis. Which i think is different from spondylolysis and def diff from spondylothesis.

BUT what is each one and is either of the first two mean that you have a fracture in your spine when it says that word on the report, or would it say that as well in reference to the fracture??

I know the last on (even though I cant spell it) spondylosthesis is when the vertebrae slippage and dont align due to a fracture or break of the upper areas of the outer vertebrae.

Anyone?

Spondylosis is degenerative arthritis of the vertebra and related tissues. It's normal, to some degree, as people age.

Spondylolysis is a defect in the transverse plane of the vertebra - typically caused by a stress fracture of the bone. This can be due to over activity or injury.

Spondylolysthesis is the anterior displacement of a vertebra in relation to the vertebra below.

Does that help?

Ah yes ty so much, I had an old MRI and was like I had a fracture? and then I was getting confused (not that 2 extruded discs dont' prob feel like a fracture but lol) then I tried googling it and it made me more confused- and the percocets wearing off too figure that !

Thank you
I had the first one and arthritis DDD etc sure seemed like my back was broken when I was first injured that's for sure.
