What's the difference between Sergeant's Gold & Sergeant's Silver flea medicine?

My mother gave us both to use on the cats without the boxes. The silver worked ok on the cats & kittens but didn't kill as many fleas as we would like. I was gonna use the gold but, I dunno the difference between the 2 so, I'm not gonna use it til I know. All I kno is Gold is more xpensive. I'd highly appreciate it if any1 could help me. THANX! ^_^
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE PLEASE!?!
Could some1 just tell me the difference!?! I'm not asking if I should USE it.
