what's the difference between fireworks and photoshop?

Fireworks is design to make webpage, Photoshop is design to make photo. Both software have strong edit picture tools. Photoshop is earlier than Fireworks.
 
i know both are image editing software and both can manipulate images but what are the actual differences between the two. there's got to be a difference but i dont know what?? i would be grateful if you would tell me please :) maximum points to the best answer xx
 
Fireworks is geared more towards web designers. I use Fireworks to create html of buttons that i can then insert into Dreaweaver for my websites. Fireworks also has all these special text affects and themes, again more for web designers such as myself. Lastly, I find Fireworks a lot more user friendly than Photoshop.
