Whats the deal with the heel shifter ?

on the 90, I find mine pretty useless. It's too far back to make it practical to shift my foot backwards to shift. If they were adjustable, like some bikes, I'd use it more often.
 
Takes some getting used to, but if you have floorboards and a properly positioned heal-toe, then it is a lot easier to up shift because often it is hard to fit your boot between the floorboard and the shifter. Love the heal-toe on my Harley, but love the regular shifter on the VS800.
 
I rode a bike with one several times (Harley Electra Glide with floor boards) and I kinda liked it on a cruiser when I got used to it.
