whats the deal with 3.0.16.6 MMS?

I know this is already discussed in another thread but it seemed too distracted to get any answers so im posting my own. :buddies:

I imported berry_Iithird's archsoft 3.0.16.6 settings into my registry and it seems to have worked, it shows up in my mms server settings as "Cricket MMS", but I have a few problems.


First, It doesn't work. I get a "unable to send" message. My WAP is setup correctly and working.

Second, when I tap on the "tap here to insert a photo or video clip" it opens my pictures, but when i choose one it doesn't show up in my message. same thing happens with a sound clip. Its like it doesn't register.

Third, it goes so incredibly slow!


I have gotten all this to work in version 6.0.6.24, whats the deal? This is on a fresh, hard booted, xv6700 no junk 3.5 with only the mms setting imported into registry and WAP configured.

Do you have a proxy enabled for your WAP connection? The way my settings are, I have a proxy setup on the Work connection called Cricket WAP, then I have the My ISP connection connecting without using a proxy. I called the latter connection "Cricket MMS," and told ArcSoft to use that connection instead of just the first internet connection it can find.
 
MMS messages are not sent through their proxy, so you'll need to setup another modem connection under 'My ISP.' Set it up the exact same way as you did the WAP one, but don't configure a proxy. Set ArcSoft to use that connection.
